Crypto hacks, CPI numbers, Germany almost done selling

Hello Investors!

Let’s see what’s moving the markets today.

Domain hacks: “Don’t interact with crypto for now”

ICYMI: Google sold its domain business to Squarespace. As part of the forced migration, many DeFi websites lost their two-factor authentication, which resulted in various hacks.

Confirmed hacks already include Compound or Pendle.

DefiLlama developer 0xngmi identified over 100 vulnerable protocols, including Polymarket, dYdX, and Karak.

CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong advised users to avoid interacting with crypto until the issue is resolved, attributing the vulnerability to the removal of 2FA after Google sold its domain business to Squarespace.
