Domain hacks: “Don’t interact with crypto for now”
ICYMI: Google sold its domain business to Squarespace. As part of the forced migration, many DeFi websites lost their two-factor authentication, which resulted in various hacks.
Confirmed hacks already include Compound or Pendle.
DefiLlama developer 0xngmi identified over 100 vulnerable protocols, including Polymarket, dYdX, and Karak.
as llama warned, one of the websites i listed got hijacked (the first one listed but that was pure luck)
guess still gotta be careful around all squarespace domains
(pendle domain is now secure btw, they got it back)

Why is that important?
This shows us that crypto, like any other, is still dependent on traditional infrastructure and related problems.
